Thailand takes a big step towards increased sustainability with the launch of FoodWasteHub.com – a new national platform to reduce food waste and develop new business opportunities. The project brings together 29 authorities, companies and universities in a joint initiative that combines research, innovation and practical guidance for the future of food waste management.

Thailand has launched the FoodWasteHub.com initiative, a new collaborative platform that brings together 29 government agencies, businesses and educational institutions to combat food waste and develop new business opportunities in sustainable food waste management. The project is led by National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and Department of Pollution Control, with support from several actors in both the public and private sectors.

What is FoodWasteHub.com?

FoodWasteHub.com is a central digital platform that brings together research, guidelines and successful case studies in food waste management. The platform is aimed at businesses, authorities and the general public and aims to:

  • Spread knowledge about how food waste can be transformed into resources
  • Promoting new business models in the circular economy
  • Provide guidance on current regulations and sustainability standards

The content is available on both thai and English, making it a powerful resource even for international stakeholders.

Since its launch, FoodWasteHub.com has already attracted over 24000 visitors from 10 countries, indicating strong interest both in Thailand and internationally.
