Thailand Info (thailandinfo.se) was started with a simple but powerful vision: to create an unbiased, non-political and serious news source for daily and informative news about Thailand, Asia and the world. We lacked a source that combined high quality with reliable information without being influenced by advertising or political agendas. After reviewing existing options such as Facebook groups, blogs, Youtubers and ad-funded news sites, we realized we could do better – and thus was born Thailand Info.
Why freedom of advertising is important to us
Our endeavor to keep Thailand Info advertising-free is a core value in our business. Right now we are able to offer an ad-free platform thanks to the support of benevolent sponsors who share our vision of quality and impartiality. However, this may change depending on economic conditions in the future. Despite this, we will do everything we can to continue to keep the site free of ads.
We see sponsors as an opportunity to ensure that our platform maintains its integrity. We are currently working non-profit to create content, and the plan is to continue doing so throughout 2025 while we work towards a long-term stable solution for 2026 and beyond.
Who are we behind? Thailand Info?
Thailand Info is run today by a loosely assembled group of enthusiasts from various backgrounds, including Thai, Finnish, Swedish, English and other nationalities. None of us have formal training in journalism, but we share a common passion for writing and delivering news of the highest quality possible.
We are aware that we are new to publishing and journalism, and we ask for your patience and appreciate any feedback, especially if you find inaccuracies or see opportunities for improvement.
An early start and our visions
Thailand Info was officially launched on December 15, 2024, although the plan was originally to start in 2025. The vision is to create high-quality news articles for a target audience of news buffs who want to stay up-to-date on what's happening in Thailand.
Parallel to Thailand Info we plan to start the development of a little sister platform in 2025, Thai Info, which will eventually offer lighter entertainment and relaxed content. More information on this will come soon.

Thailand Info is a work in progress. We do not yet have all the parts in place, for example a responsible publisher and other administrative solutions are missing, but we are working to solve this in 2025.
