Air quality and weather conditions will vary across Thailand over the coming week. While Phuket continues to have relatively good air, Chiang Rai is experiencing increasing levels of PM2.5, and Bangkok is seeing a deterioration in air quality towards the end of the week.
Compared to this weekend's report (Friday–Sunday) we see one increase in PM2.5 levels in Chiang Rai and Bangkok, while Phuket maintains stable air quality. Temperatures have dropped slightly in northern Thailand but are unchanged in the southern parts.
Chiang Rai: Deteriorated air quality and drier air
Monday January 13: AQI 65 – Moderate air quality, high 25°C, low 11°C.
Tuesday January 14: AQI 69 – Moderate air quality, high 26°C, low 11°C.
Wednesday January 15: AQI 74 – Moderate air quality, high 27°C, low 13°C.
Thursday January 16: AQI 86 – Unhealthy for sensitive groups, high 26°C, low 13°C.
Friday January 17: AQI 86 – Unhealthy for sensitive groups, high 27°C, low 13°C.
Change from the weekend:
The temperature has dropped slightly, and air pollution has increased from moderate to unhealthy levels from Thursday.
Bangkok: Increased pollution towards the end of the week
Monday January 13: AQI 95 – Moderate air quality, high 29°C, low 19°C.
Tuesday January 14: AQI 94 – Moderate air quality, high 30°C, low 20°C.
Wednesday January 15: AQI 71 – Moderate air quality, high 33°C, low 22°C.

Air pollution has gradually increased and is expected to reach unhealthy levels for sensitive groups on Friday. Temperatures are stable but slightly higher in the middle of the week.
Phuket: Stable with good air quality
